What is the slope of the hypotenuses of the triangles in simplest form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Use the slope formula, \(m = \dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\). Use these points: (2, 4) and (3, 6) Plug them in: \(m = \dfrac{6-4}{4-2}\) \(m = \dfrac{2}{2}\) Can you divide 2/2? @Chop-GTA5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah 1

OpenStudy (igreen):

That's for the smaller Triangle ^^

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yeah, so the slope of the hypotenuse of the smaller triangle is 1.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Bigger Triangle: (5, 10) and (3, 6) \(m = \dfrac{10-6}{5-3}\) \(m = \dfrac{4}{2}\) Divide that, and you get the slope of the hypotenuse of the bigger triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks

OpenStudy (igreen):

G2g, bye.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bye
