10m-p=-n for m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get m on its own. add p to both sides. divide both sides by 10

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

10m - p = -n 10m - p + p = -n + p 10m = -n + p 10m/10 = -n + p / 10 m = -n + p / 10

Wait i got it now Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

very nearly almost perfect. but the second to last line, you divided m by 10, p by 10, but forgot to divide -n by 10

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

@JamesWolf whoops.... so the correct way ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so exactly what you did, only 10m/10 = -n/10 + p/10 m = -n/10 + p/10 and if you want you can write that slightly simpler as m = (p - n)/10
