\[m = \frac{ y_2 - y_1 }{ x_2 - x_1 }\] where m is the slope (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are the two points just substitute

for your 2 points x1 = 2, y1 = 5 x2 = 0 and y2 = -4 plug these into shinalcantara's formula and simplify and you have your required slope
