You want to get \(z\) by itself..and you have to get rid of all the other terms on the other side of the equation..so what are you going to do?

4 is with 3z on one side of the equation..you want to get rid of the 4 by doing the opposite. 4 is being added to 3z, so what's the opposite of adding? @TheWalkingDeadFan123

Yep, so you would subtract 4 to both sides.
