OpenStudy (rianiscool):
you have to pick ether a or b
OpenStudy (studygurl14):
commutative property of multiplication changes the order of the terms without changing or adding parenthesis. Associative changes or adds parenthesis of an equation. Does that make sense?
OpenStudy (studygurl14):
In the first one, the order of the terms is changes, BUT the parenthesis are still around n + 6. Thus, the first one exhibits the commutative property of multiplication.
OpenStudy (studygurl14):
In the second one, the order of the terms is the same, BUT the parenthesis are moved to go around 3•4, instead of 4•9. Thus, this one exhibits the associative property of multiplication.
OpenStudy (studygurl14):
Can you do the rest yourself?
