According to most scientists, green algae are the ancestors of plants. Which statement best supports that belief?

What are your options? Or, what are the statements anyways.

Several things that come to mind indicate that gren algae are likely the ancestors of the first primitive plants (mosses): 1. Algal cells look similar to plant cells: a. contain chloroplasts and other similar organelles; b. similarities in cell wall structure. 2. Morphology: Some green algae have differentiated structures that look as though they are the precursors of simple roots, stems, and leaves (such as those of mosses).
