OpenStudy (maryfitzgerald14):

what does yz =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm, whats the problem ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i can't tell

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it depends on what numbers each variable represents. did the question say that z or y where equal to anything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theres nothing there for us to help you

OpenStudy (maryfitzgerald14):

Evaluate the expression for y = 2 and z = -3.

OpenStudy (maryfitzgerald14):

how do you Evaluate the expression for y = 2 and z = -3. to get the answer to yz=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first you substitute y for to and substitute z foe -3 and then you solve it like a normal problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's better

OpenStudy (maryfitzgerald14):

i dont get the answer =( how do you Evaluate the expression for y = 2 and z = -3. to get the answer to yz=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

* sorry typo substitute y for 2 and z for -3

OpenStudy (maryfitzgerald14):

how is that supposed to help me give me the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When two numbers are right next to each other like that it mans you are going to multiply. Hope that helps! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's basically just telling you to multiply 2 and -3 to find the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yz= (2)(-3) {yz means multiplying y and z} yz= -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@maryfitzgerald14 got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't think she has seen any of our answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope I helped some :)
