so john has three ropes. and you want to know how much rope does he has. so we have to add the lengths of the three ropes. BUT you have to know that they have different units. 31 cm 0.33 m 0.45 m as we can see two of them have units that are in 'm', so the easiest way is to convert 31 cm to m. how many cm are there in 1 m?
