How would you write out the factorial (n!)?

OpenStudy (bibby):

The definition of factorial is that number being multiplied by 1 less than itself recursively until 1. \(4!=4*3*2*1\) \(1!=1\) \(0!=1\) \(n!=n*(n-1)*(n-2)*...*3*2*1\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factorial is essentially all the sequential numbers added up, so 3 factorial (3!) is 3+2+1, but the thing about factorials is they scale, so 4! is 4+3+2+1, and 5! is 5+4+3+2+!, but 5! can also be 4! + 5

sorry change the plus signs to multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factorials is multiplication not addition XD
