Glycogen is a carbohydrate, and insulin is a protein. I love these kind of questions!

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

Insulin (protein hormone) is made from the Beta-cell in your pancreas. It tells the body to store the sugar (From digestion) into the liver. If storage becomes saturated, the sugar will be converted into fats, which are stored in your adipocytes. So if you wanna lose weight, you eat less carbohydrates and more protein.
