OpenStudy (anonymous):

Follow the order of operations (parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction). So first do the exponent. then division, then the subtraction

PEMDAS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I DONT KNOW HOW TO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THIS NEW LEARNING

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so when using PEMDAS first look to see if there are Parentheses in you problem. There aren't so then look to see if there are any exponents and if they are evaluate it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you have 2^4 so you need to figure out what 2^4 is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

COUSE IT IS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I CANT TYPE IT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exponents are just repeated multiplication but with the same number over and over again. So 2^4 is the same thing as saying 2 x 2 x 2 x 2. so is 2*2*2*2 equal to 21?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO HOW SHOULD I WRITE IT
