Please help with instruction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey if you are not specifically asking for satellite73, I can help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would be great!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do you notice anything interesting about triangle LJK?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show me, ill be back in 5. sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is an isosceles triangle. @StudyGurl14 Why do you feel the need to basically give the answer without really explaining anything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that is wrong in any case

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually don't know whether that's right or wrong, didn't check it but yeah...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyways @bradenhart do you know what's special about isosceles triangles?

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

My answer was not wrong @satellite73

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

since this is an isosceles triangle, and m<JKM = m<LKM, then line KM is the perpendicular to line JL, forming two right angles.

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

If m<L is 58, and <LKM is 90, and all triangles add up to 180 degrees, then <LKM is 180 - 58 - 90, and <LKJ is double that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@StudyGurl14 firstly you have a typo you mean to say that <LMK is 90 and secondly who cares if you know how to solve the problem? It's more important that @bradenhart can figure out how to solve it.

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

well, so-rry. A typo. Woah, it's the end of the world. And secondly, if @bradenhart has a question, he can ask it, and I'll try my best to answer it. I didn't see *him* complaining about my methods.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your typo is not such a big deal but it does impede your explanation a bit.

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Okay, true...thanks for pointing it out. :)

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

But I feel insulted by the comment: "Why do you feel the need to basically give the answer without really explaining anything?" I almost always, like 95% of the time, explain my answers. I've just dealt with brandenhart before and explained certain things to him, so it carries over and i didn't feel the need to re-explain it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm well while I am a newcomer on this site. Too often on this iste, I just see people ask for/give answers or solutions to problem without walking them through the problem. But either way your original post of "180 - 58 - 90 = answer" I think is actually unhelpful, unless you already know how to solve the problem.

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

I've been here for 2 years, or more. But I understand what you mean...Ya know, you ain't half bad...lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you as well :)

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

lol, thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but @bradenhart, StudyGurl14 solution is correct and if you can follow it and understand it, that's great! Let us know if you have problems

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Same ^
