10^log 8

OpenStudy (aum):

\[ \text{Let } \large y = 10^{\log(8)} \\ \text{Take log on both sides: } \\ \large \log(y) = \log(10^{\log(8)}) = \log(8) * \log(10) = \log(8) * 1 = \log(8) \\ \large y = 8 \]

OpenStudy (aum):

Any number or function "k" can be written as: \(\large k = 10^{\log(k)} \) Similarly, any number or function "k" can be written as: \(\large k = e^{\ln(k)} \)

OpenStudy (aum):

10^log(8) 10^ and log are inverse functions and they cancel each other leaving you with just 8.
