anyone feel like helping me with a few questions? Pleaase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's about functions. Hold on a sec, I'll pull them up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question is asking for F(g(x)) so take g(x) and plug that into every x in the equation F(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So (6x)^2+3=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36x^2+3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! okay I have one more. I think I'm getting it, it's just hard to plug them in for some reason

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, Ill see if i can help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That reads as "g of F of x" which means g(f(x)) So you would take f(x) and plug it into every x in the equation g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it x(4x) (-5+3) ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So G(x) is 4x-5 F(x) is x+3 so G(f(x))= 4(x+3)-5=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm starting to get it, but how do you plug these in because it looks like F(x) is 4x-5 orignally and you changed it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, i re-read it wrong, f(x) is 4x-5 and G(x) is x+3 G(f(x)) is (4x-5)+3 4x-5+3 4x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay I see. Thank you so much for your help!!
