OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
since you already have the y-intercept as (0,400), all you have to do is to find the x-intercept using the equation of the line taking y=0
OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
what's your x-intercept then?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x = 600
OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
so you'll have the point as (0,400) and (600,0)
you can now plot

okay @shinalcantara , but it says use the slope-intercept method.
how would i do that ?
OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
Y = (-2/3)x + 400
have you remembered slope-intercept form?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
is it Y = mx + b ?
OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
isn't it that the form is
y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
using that idea you will know that the y-intercept, b, is 400.
then you can say that the first point is (0,400)

okay, so what next ?
OpenStudy (shinalcantara):
since you know that the slope is -2/3 then you'll have it as

ohhhhh thank you!
