Jody wants to measure the boiling temperature of water. To do this, she needs a thermometer, a beaker, some water, and

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have to figure out what else she needs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you trying to do this Kate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, sorry hold on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's alright I am on Study island

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Something to heat up the water :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem!

You could use a calorimeter, or a temperature probe. This is usually for exothermic or endothermic reactions for a lab. For water, using a thermometer would be acceptable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a temperature probe was the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I was to late.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's odd, she already has a thermometer so I don't see the need for a probe. You need water, something to contain the water, something to heat the water and something to measure the temperature - of which, the only missing item from the ones you listed is a heat source.
