so what ever = 180 is the correct answer when added?

Well, once you find one of the angle measurements for 1 or 2, you can subtract 180 from either of them to get the other one. Like if Angle 1 is 70 degrees, you know that Angle 2 has to be 110, because 180 - 70 = 110.
