per means divided by

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cost per movie \[66\div 12\] for the first one and \[28\div 5\] for the second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 1st condion, price per piece for A = total cost/ no. of passes = 66/12 = $5.5 price per pass in B = 28/5 = $5.6 therefore, A is cheaper than B as per pass. for 2nd condition, we save per pass if we chose cheaper one= price per pass of B- price per pass of A =$(5.6-5.5) = $ 0.1
