NEED HELP solve the quadratic equation by completing the square -3x^2 +9x=1 (1 point)

OpenStudy (brimblings):

use the general formula: \[x ^{2}+bx = (x+\frac{ b }{ 2 })^{2}-(\frac{ b }{ 2 })^{2}\] where in your case, the -3 in -3x^2 must be outside the general formula for it to work. you should keep the 1 to that side, and b is 9. Enter those numbers into the equation - and rearrange it so x is on it's own - that will be your answer.
