Real Analysis anybody?
\[f(x) =\] { x, if x is raitonal { 1/x, if x is irrational. Determine where the fuctions are continuous
Hey @Concentrationalizing hope all is well
Hello :) Hmm....We haven't even touched the idea of continuity in our analysis course. Couldnt tell ya how the "analysis" way of tackling this would be. We're all into cauchy sequences and cauchy criterion for series and such.
Yea we just finished those about a week or so ago, and we came into continuity, and I missed a couple days so this is making it more difficult for me.
not continuous.
lim x-> 0+ f(x)=0, when x is rational but lim x-> 0+f(x)=infinity when x is irrational. hence lim x->0 dosnot exist. consequently it is not continuous at x=0 @angmarti87
Thank you
