@ganeshie8
OpenStudy (kiakat):
Do you know what the first step is to finding the zeros??
OpenStudy (sanra123):
No
OpenStudy (kiakat):
well whats the highest exponent in that equation?
OpenStudy (sanra123):
X^4

right, so that means you're going to have for solutions or zeros for that equation.
now do you know what Descartes rule of signs is??
OpenStudy (sanra123):
We never learned that rule
OpenStudy (sanra123):
?i only know synthetic division
OpenStudy (sanra123):
And the p and q thingy
OpenStudy (kiakat):
alright, give me one second

Ok
OpenStudy (kiakat):
okay so you're using the rational root theorem (the p and q thingy XD)
OpenStudy (sanra123):
Hahahhaha Ok
OpenStudy (sanra123):
But then it's +-1/+-1
OpenStudy (sanra123):
Thenn don't know how to solve

I dont think i've ever done one where its equal to zero actually
OpenStudy (kiakat):
because usually if you're using the RRT you find the possible numbers for x by finding the factors of the first term and the constant
OpenStudy (sanra123):
@ganeshie8 can u help me
OpenStudy (sanra123):
I know it's hard!
OpenStudy (kiakat):
hang on im still trying to figure this one out haha

one of the zeros is zero. because if you plug in zero for x it comes out to 0=0
OpenStudy (kiakat):
and another of the zeros is 1 for the same reason, but I cant figure out the other two.
