For the function f(x) = 4/x, where x > 0, find the shortest distance between the graph and the origin.

OpenStudy (ultra_lovebby):

If i happen to say "idk" would i possibly get a medal? lmaooo :p

OpenStudy (lncognlto):

No. ._. Because I genuinely need help with this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any point on the curve f(x)=4/x can be written as (x,4/x) hence you should get the minimum distance between (x,4/x) and (0,0)

OpenStudy (lncognlto):

Thanks, I got it. I was trying to minimize the distance using (x,y) as the point and it was just turning out confusing.
