check my answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The image below represents part of what process? Two identical rings of DNA present in one elongated cell. Mitosis Meiosis Conjugation Binary fission <-- my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I'll say mitosis

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ask y ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah lol i was gonna ask that

OpenStudy (abhisar):

There is a difference between mitosis and Binary fission. In binary fission the whole cell alongwith the DNA gets divided into two identical units, like someone has cut it into two units at once by a knife. But in mitosis, first DNA replication takes place and then the cell is divided into two.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i was gonna pick that too but like in the lesson they showed that picture under the binary fission

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It's a very small difference, often people get confused between binary fission and mitosis. Always remeber Binary fission is also called as amitosis and it only takes place in prokaryotes like bacteria.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so it would be mitosis?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you i have like maybe 4 more questions but i don't know the answer to them if you could just guide me to get the correct answer (Sorry i'm stupid in any science related things) and okay ill go through it

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It's okay, i was dumber. Ask your quesions in new post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay will do !
