Triangle DEF is shown below with line GH passing through the center. Imagine triangle DEF was dilated by a scale factor of two about the center of the triangle, and a line was drawn passing through its center. What would you know about the line of the dilated figure as compared to line GH drawn below?

How do you create an account for gyazo? I downloaded it and it said I needed to download an application or something?

OpenStudy (bibby):

you don't need to. the problem is with her link

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.-. It's the same way as you would with Lightshot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH WRONG LINK THATS WHY

OpenStudy (bibby):

if we dilate the triangle by a factor of 2 about the center, the point remains the same. the line would stay/be the same as GH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what does that mean?

OpenStudy (bibby):

the line wouldnt change

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is that the explaination of it?

OpenStudy (bibby):

I'm not sure how to properly phrase it. basically. if you're dilating the whole triangle by a factor of 2 around the center, the center never changes as far as I can tell, thus the line going t hrough the midpoint remains the same

OpenStudy (bibby):

the center being (0,0) in both triangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already sumbitted but ty. c: I'll see what I'll get

OpenStudy (bibby):

I'm feeling a C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there aren't any options.

OpenStudy (bibby):

I meant the grade

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually. I got an F. loool a 50.

OpenStudy (bibby):

unfortunate. I wonder if the ones we did together were all wrong D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lemme check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one of them was right. still gotta wait for the essay to be graded. it's 16 points.

OpenStudy (bibby):

I'm going to assume the parallelogram one was right. pretty confident about it. g ood luck cx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was. and there was another one too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's a graph of it. As you can see the line doesn't change. The line still goes through the centroid of the triangle.
