Partial fractions help. Question attached below. Will give medal.

OpenStudy (itiaax):

So I'm having some trouble splitting this into partial fractions. So far, I have \[13 = (Ax+B)(x ^{2}+1) + C(2x+3)\]

OpenStudy (itiaax):

I think I've seen my error now.

OpenStudy (freckles):

I think you have it set up in a mix and match kinda way if that makes sense.

OpenStudy (freckles):

ooops nvm you found it

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[\frac{13}{(2x+3)(x^2+1)}=\frac{Ax+B}{x^2+1}+\frac{C}{2x+3}\] Like the quadratic part should be multiply by that constant and the linear should be multiply by the other linear.

OpenStudy (freckles):

Is that the error you found?

OpenStudy (itiaax):

Hmm, no..i thought that I was supposed to write Bx+c instead of Ax+B, but now I realized that wasn't an error

OpenStudy (freckles):

13=(Ax+B)(2x+3)+C(x^2+1)

OpenStudy (itiaax):

Thanks for making it clear :)
