Asynchronous Collaboration In this segment, you also have the opportunity to participate in an asynchronous collaboration with one of your classmates through an email discussion. To participate in this collaboration, use the email feature of the course to send a message to your classmates to find a partner. Once you have found someone to work with, you and your partner will communicate back and forth to answer the question: What is identity? Collaboration Product You and your partner will use your independent reading selections as a basis for your discussion. Discuss what you learned about identity through your protagonist’s journey. Share specific examples from the book that reveal key details in identity development. Using the examples you have discussed from your reading, work with your partner to develop a definition of identity. Once you have collaborated to develop a definition of identity, submit the definition along with a copy of the emails you exchanged with your partner

The 3 main characters are Selamawi, Tewolde, and Haileab. Selamawi is the main character of the book and also the author. He is at the beginning a small and helpless boy, but develops into a fearless, extremely brave person who always sees the good side of things. Tewolde is Selamawi’s older brother and also his best friend who always helps all his siblings through trouble and is also very brave. Finally, Haileab is the father of these 2 boys and is a very wise man who teaches many lessons that improve the life of these poor immigrants. If you want to know about the other characters youhave to read the book and find out ! The pace of this book, at the beginning, goes along quite fast, but as soon as the family moves to America, the author tells us stories about his life of growing up ; stories that inspire us.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay are you there

OpenStudy (anonymous):
