Help? A few questions?

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

A layer of cells called the endodermis surrounds the stele. Xylem is found towards the center of the stele and phloem towards the outside of the stele. 18) How does this compare to their arrangement in the stem? 19) The meristematic region is protected in the root by the presence of a root cap. How is the meristematic region protected in the stem tip? 20) In which of these regions would you expect to find the specialized cells of vascular tissue? 21) In which of these regions are the cells genetically identical? 22) Why?

Nnesha (nnesha):

They are not protected by anything in specific. the apical meristem of the shoot part grows in the free space where there is no such thing opposing its growth, so nothing like protection is needed. Moreover the shoot tip is accompanied by the rapid cell division, so instead of there being a protective covering the cells are replaced continuously. the apical meristem of the root needs a root cap because soil opposes its growth. thereby instead of getting the root tip damaged the root tip is there for protection. from some website for question 19

18) Xylem and phloem are associated in numerous separate vascular bundles in the stem. The xylem is on the inside of each bundle and the phloem on the outside.

same srry look it up on google most likely i dont know really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why don't you tell us what you know thus far, instead of actually studying you are just mindlessly rallying everybody to help you.
