OpenStudy (mathmath333):

if 15th August 2014 is wednesday ,then what will be 15th Augest 2010?

OpenStudy (anx):

A day increases by 1 every year so in 2014 the 15th was on a wednesday Wednesday so thats wednesday, tuesday, monday, sunday sunday would be the 15th in August in 2010

OpenStudy (perl):

dont forget leap year

OpenStudy (perl):

in a leap year the day increases by 2 days

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

is their any link or formula for this

OpenStudy (perl):

leap year happens every 4 years

OpenStudy (perl):

you need to figure out the leap years, theres a formula

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

so its mon?

OpenStudy (perl):

let me google leap years, once sec

OpenStudy (perl):

here http://kalender-365.de/leap-years.php

OpenStudy (perl):

A leap year is every 4 years, but not every 100 years, then again every 400 years.

OpenStudy (anx):

2012 was last leap year. and august 15th was a wednesday, so back two years to 2010 would be monday no?

OpenStudy (perl):

2000 is a leap year, so just add 4 years 2000 2004 2008 2012 2016 2020

OpenStudy (perl):

so subtract 1 day, then

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

sat ?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

Ah thnks

OpenStudy (perl):

wait

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

saturday was not in options

OpenStudy (perl):

doing this backwards is a little weird

OpenStudy (perl):

one sec

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

computer calender shows friday

OpenStudy (perl):

i mean friday

OpenStudy (perl):

when you are going backwards, you subtract 2 after you reach the 2012

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

ok i get that leap year concept

OpenStudy (perl):

2014 Wed. 2013 Tuesday 2012 Mon 2011 Sat 2010 Friday

OpenStudy (perl):

sorry i got confused going backwards

OpenStudy (perl):
