Find the x and y intercepts of y=x^3-4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the x - intercept: Set y = 0 and solve for x. To find the y - intercept: Set x = 0 and solve for y.

Yes, I did that. I know the answer is x= + or -2, and 0. (It's a problem from my textbook). I solved it on my own and I got + or - 2, I just don't understand how the book got 0 as an answer as well.

It's also 0 because we're basically checking where the point on the graph y = 0, so you'll always have it = 0.

Your y value will be 0, so you have the points (2,0), (-2,0)
