Help please!

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Do you know the formula for arc length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

ok, what do you know about the measures of arcs then? What have you learned in class so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is like a preview test, so nothing, I just really want to get ahead since I'm pretty bad at math and takes me longer to understand it.

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

ah ok, well, 1. I commend your efforts. 2. Please please please never say you are bad at math. You will become bad if you do. 3. If you have not learned the material yet, I recommend watching the khanacademy.org videos before you atttempt the pretest

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

or, doing something similar. That way you are not just going in without understanding anything, it causes less frustration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I'm getting better at it. I've been practicing a lot... I shouldn't say pre test just like a pre-packet of questions I guess.

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Math is all about practice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

np, feel free to tag me after you watch the videos if you have any questions :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@FibonacciChick666 So I'm reading and stuff and the formula for degrees and it's 2*pi*r (c/360) right?

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

yep, because you are essentially multiplying by the percentage of the circle you want the length of

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

c=central angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I don't have my central angle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or wait that's the 128 maybe?

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

well, you have to use that ac or whatevere is the diameter, so what is the measure of angle AC? it's a straight line right? so you can find the measure of the supplementary angle given the information at hand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's 180 the diameter

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

well, the measure of the angle created by the diameter is 180 defgrees
