step 1) Graph y = 2x-3 to set up the boundary line. step 2) make sure this boundary line is a dashed line because you are not including the boundary line in the solution set step 3) shade above the boundary line to form the solution set ------------------------------------------------------- We use a dashed line when we have the inequality sign < or >. If you do NOT have an underline under the inequality sign, then you do NOT include the boundary. So you have a dashed line to represent that.
