Done :)
I'm not sure where to begin.. factoring?
actually first make a quadratic equation
Please you have to write your equation, setting sin X=y, where y is a new variable, so you get an algebraic quadratic equation in y, the solve that equation for y
7 sin^ 2 x-14sin x + 2 = -5 7 sin^ 2 x-14sin x + 7 = 0 7 ( sin^2 x - 2 sin x + 1 ) = 0 7 ( sin x -1 ) ( sin x -1 ) = 0
now use zero product property: if A*B = 0, then A = 0 or B = 0
namely sin x=1, twice!
How did you get sin x=1 twice? You solved using the zero product property? That's what I'm attempting to do now haha
Yes I have used the zero product property, your solutions are double because there are two identical factors (sin x-1)
Ooooh okay. All of the examples I have, have really complicated answers. I was trying to figure that out. Alright, thank you so much! I really appreciate it
Thank you!
