check answer again? @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

incorrect

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you first need to find a coterminal angle to that given one such that it is between 0 and 360

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so subtract off multiples of 360

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

I did this: 1046/360 = 2.905..... Then I took that decimal^, minused 2, then without rounding and multiplied it by 360 and got 326 then i subtracted 180, to get 146, then subtracted 90 to get 56...weird train of thought eh?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

326 is the correct coterminal angle for 1046

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

so...subtracting 360... 1046 - 360 = 686

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

oh...326. How do i get that into a reference angle?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

326 is between 270 and 360, we're in quadrant IV |dw:1416371191011:dw|

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

draw a perpendicular to the x axis and form this triangle |dw:1416371224944:dw|

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the reference angle is here |dw:1416371247673:dw|

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this angle is 326 |dw:1416371275886:dw|
