Complete the equation of the graphed linear function. Write the slope in decimal form. y = ___x + ___ http://www.picresize.com/images/tscreenshot_119.png?37259

@PaulaLovesSchool13 @texaschic101 @mathmath333 @Mandre @Conqueror @uri

OpenStudy (mvpriest6):

Y=5x+4

OpenStudy (mvpriest6):

That's what I think because of using rise over run

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But the slope has to be written in decimal form.

OpenStudy (mvpriest6):

Oh okay let me try that

OpenStudy (mvpriest6):

Gosh what are some of the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is none. It's written answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no :(

OpenStudy (mvpriest6):

Okay I think it is 1.00000000 and so on but don't judge me plz if I'm wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o_o

OpenStudy (mvpriest6):

^ he can figure it out ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. It's fine. I have no idea. I'm horrible at math, especially with written answer. @iGreen Sorry to bother you again. Could you help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's y = -4/5x + 4 but I'm not 100% sure.

OpenStudy (igreen):

What's the y-intercept?

OpenStudy (igreen):

That's almost correct, the y-intercept is correct, but the slope isn't gonna be negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The y-intercept is 4 but I'm not sure about the slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought m = -4/5 ? I'm horrible at this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Waait. I think I have it. Would the slope be 4/5 and the y-intercept be 4? So all in all the equation would be y = 4/5x + 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And to write it as a decimal the answer would be y = 0.8x + 4. Am I correct?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, y = 4/5x + 4, is correct. And 4/5 = 0.8. So you get y = 0.8x + 4. Yep! :D
