What's question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

number 5, H x W.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you use the formula for the Pythagorean theorem. a^2+b^2=c^2. the sides are the a and b and the longer side, x is the c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks. but what would A equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and b are equivalent to each other. for the first one, a equals 45

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw:) glad to help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about number 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since for the left triangle there's 45 degree angles, the sides, a and b, are equivalent. use the Pythagorean theorem to find the lengths. a^2+b^2=8^2. a^2+b^2=64. then you find what 2 numbers that are equivalent to each other equal 64. then, once you find the length of that triangle, you can find x and y for the other one.
