Write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line 3x - y = -3 and passes through the point (4, -2). y = -1/3x - 6 y = -1/3x - 14 y = 3x - 6 y = 3x - 14 I know that the y intercepts are different and the slope is the same, I'm just not sure how to figure out the correct answer.

Nnesha (nnesha):

first solve your equation for y

Nnesha (nnesha):

subtract 3x both side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it becomes -y= 3x-3?

Nnesha (nnesha):

subtract so what should be on right side
