And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. (Refer: The Road Not Taken) (i) What had the poet left to take up another day? (ii) Why was the poet doubtful about coming back?

Are you asking for people to help you answer the questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yahh..

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Well, please state that beforehand. (i) The poet leaves to take up another day because he wants to see how the second path goes first. In essence, the poem appears to be saying 'take the second choice instead of the first'. (ii) The second path is 'grassy and [wants] wear' (stanza 8); the author probably wants to explore the lesser walked path. Due to the latter reason, the author is doubtful about coming back because he might get caught up in the wonders and new experiences of the second path. If I didn't explain enough you may ask me to elaborate.
