How do I prove the zipper theorem? I am new to this topic and am confused about the notations!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello ! what do u need help on ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The notations. Like what is meant by index N and what is n?

OpenStudy (mendicant_bias):

When you say zipper theorem, are you talking about the squeeze theorem in calculus, or what subject, exactly? Could you be a little more specific?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yea, my bad. yes, I am talking about the zipper theorem in calculus. Is it another name for the squeeze theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically this is what the theorem is in my book: 'If (a subscript n) and (b subscript n) both converge to L, then the sequence a1, b1, a2, b2,... an, bn,.. converges to L' This is what I have to prove. (a1 mean a subscript 1)
