OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

what is the slope of the line? y=2x-7. will give medal

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

@iGreen @JDizzle256 @emo__gamer101 @koook @Kit_Kat_Nat_<3 @Elise_a18

OpenStudy (mrnood):

all straight lines have an equation in the form y = mx + b yours is y = 2x -7 the value equivalent to m is the slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When finding the slope, use the equation: Y1-Y2 over x2-x1 :)

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Chunkymonkay when finding the slope use the equation I gave you in this case. the number in the same place as "m" IS the answer to your question, with no calculation

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Kit_Kat_Nat_<3 your method is only useful if you are given 2 points on the line - which in this case you are not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is why you have to find the x and y intercepts. Simple! :) To find the x intercept make y zero, and vice-versa for Y intercept!

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

is the slope -2?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

You do not need to doi ANY such stuff in an equation of form y=mx+b (such as y= 2x-7) then slope is m

OpenStudy (mrnood):

look at your equation : what is the number in front of the x? that is the slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope is 2. :-)

OpenStudy (mrnood):

or is it? @Chunkymonkay YOU decide!
