Solve the following: sin(x)= -3/4 SO far I got this: arc sin (-3/4) = -49.6 degrees it's in Quad 3 and 4 so the 2 angles I got are 228.6 and 131.4

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I'm getting arcsin(-3/4) = -48.59

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

also, 131.4 degrees is in quadrant 2 (since it's between 90 and 180)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry, typo ur right on the arcsin

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I did get 228.6 for one of the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I was confused on the quadrants for a second

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

as confirmation sin(228.6) = -0.75011 approximately

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be quad 1 and quad 4

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no, quad 3 and 4

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sine is negative here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh now I'm confused on this again

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

48.59 is in Q1

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

any angle in Q4 is between 270 and 360
