OpenStudy (anonymous):

Most sex-linked genes in humans are found on the A. Y chromosome. B. X chromosome. C. XY chromosome. D. XX chromosome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar can you help? I am totally lost with this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is xy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is x, let me explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hang on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it is c why is because you get the x from ur dad and the y from ur mom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought the Y came from the dad and the X came from the mom. I could be wrong but in my notes it says Y is male and X is female. I hate Genetics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i mean that i mess up on things like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's all very confusing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry my computer jinked out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are more x's then y's so x has a higher chance of being correct there is also this answer i found on the internet On the top of the X chromosome, although some are found on the Y chromosome. However, it is far more common for sex-linked characteristics to be found on the X chromosome, which is why they are passed from mother to son in most cases.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

First of all, Males have XY and Females have XX. Now most of the sex-linked genes are found on X-chromosome. Forxample Haemophilia. Though some are Y-linked too but mostly X-linked.

thanks for the medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay. Thank you all!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are welcome
