Simplify: sqrt(2) is basically 2^(1/2) So you have \[\frac{ 2^{1/2} }{ 2^{1/3} }\]

OpenStudy (wmj259):

multiply the exponents.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

2^1/3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now just subtract the exponents not multiply because \[\frac{ x^{2} }{ x^{1} }\] = x
