How do plants create Lipids?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Photosynthesis is the process through which the carbon in CO2 molecules is 'fixed' - that is, the process through which it is incorporated into more complex molecules found in biologic systems. Initially carbohydrates. Those initial carbohydrates are then used to as starting points to make lipids, proteins, nucleic acids - all the other complex, carbon based molecules in living cells.
