how would I solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3j+h=9 7j+3h=23

OpenStudy (kamibug):

You can use substitution by solving the first equation for h and then plugging that value into h in the second equation. That way you'll be able to solve the second equation for the value of j and once you know the value of j, you can plug it into the first equation to find the value of h. :) This is what it looks like... h = 9-3j 7j+3(9-3j)=23 7j+27-9j=23 -2j+27=23 -2j=-4 j=2 <-- 3(2)+h=9 6+h=9 h=3 <--

I know it's all a bit confusing Lol, but does this help? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thankyou :)

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Sure :)
