Find nthe slope of the line that passes through (-1, -2) and (-4, 1)

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Use the slope formula: \[m=\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] Can you plug the points into the formula? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know the answer of this qustion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so take y2 which is 1, and subtract that from y1 which is -2 That is going to be divided by x2 which is -4 minus x1 which is -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you have 1-2 over -4 -1 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the slope is -1 over -5, or -1/5 :)
