Help Me!! Simplify this!! Please this makes me wanna die!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 1 }{ 7 }*\frac{ 7\sqrt{85} }{ 85 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Help me anyone!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that the sevens cancel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I think it has to be the same radical or something to cancel this ? Right or wrong ? I just don't know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No because the seven is multiplying by the radical, if it were adding or subtracting with the radical then you wouldnt be able to do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooooohh so that's it right so its\[\frac{ \sqrt{85}}{ 85}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Done right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see if you combine them together you'll get \[\frac{ 7\sqrt{85} }{ 595 }\], yep then simplify that to get the answer you posted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!!!

No problem!!
