Use Newton's method to find the absolute maximum value of the function f(x) = 6x sin x, 0 ≤ x ≤ π correct to six decimal places.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I believe the first thing to do is take the derivative of f(x) = 6x sin x Also, is that equation stated correctly? Is it f(x) = 6x * sin x or f(x) = 6x + sin x or something else?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=6x*sinx
