OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok lets find the slope of this line.
slope = m = (y2-y1 )/ (x2-x1)
take any two points on this line say (x1,y1= )(1,2) and (x2,y2)=(2,4)
substituting these values in the above formula we get
slope = m = (4-2)/(2-1)
can you find the slope now???
OpenStudy (brucebaner):
sorry im not what good at slope
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok so the slope is = m = 2
now we have slope intercept form of line which is
y = mx + b where m = slope and b = y-intercept
here m = 2 and b = 0
thus putting in formula we get
y = 2x + 0
=> y = 2x
