OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

just read them, and look which one is the incorrect. Only one is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, take out the other person. Does it make sense still?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

just a simple error, you must read the sentence and go like "oh it supposed to say ____, not ____"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think the answer is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take out "him" in D. "Him did a wonderful job on the house." Does that sound right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the answer is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it would be A because when you take out the other person, it still makes sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not 100% sure though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Did them make dinner?" Does that sound right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think the answer is A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's A too. I did this I think yesterday. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would really appreciate it if you message me and tell me if these are correct so I know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you get the answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hope these are corect

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

the answer is A. took whom? "us" sounds good. for B, "they" made a dinner, not "them" made a dinner for C, The players in the outfield are Lisa, SHE (not her), and Jee. for D, You and HE (not him) did a wonderful job decorating the house. because he did, not him did.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do, too!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which sentence correctly uses an objective case pronoun? A. Pam greeted her and her sisters at the door. B. Should them purchase the plane tickets online? C. Him and Doug left the house hours ago. D. The only children at the party are us and Sarah.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Guys please don't give it away.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it would be A agin cause if u take out the other person it make sense

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Yes.~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

see, you can do it:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It isn't that hard when you really think about it and know a few tricks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya with yalls help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is hard for me it stink at grammer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which pronoun best completes the sentence? How is the pronoun used? Did you tell Christine and __________ the good news? A. she; direct object B. her; indirect object C. she; indirect object D. her; direct object

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I stink at Math, I'm just answering your questions while i wait for mine to be answered. Haha.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

tell whom? tell her, or tell she?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's these questions that confuse me lol. I'm not bad at ela but things like this is kind of hard for me too. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which do you think again?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

again, you tell her? or you tell she? which one is correct?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

and then, who recieves the action (to be a direct object) and who does the action (to be the indirect object) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would have to be either B or D because "her" makes more sense then "she"

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

and you tell her and... so the reciever of the action is her. so her is the direct object.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

*receiver.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh thanks SolomonZelman. I understand the whole direct/indirect object stuff now. lol :)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

If I was an American, then my grammar would have been many times better:)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Anytime.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea, I was having trouble with those, too and you just helped me get a complete understanding.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where are you from?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Yes, and what is the table?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I am from Russia. Moved to US about five or six years ago.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

What is your table, Moklad?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Anne runs at a constant rate. The table shows the distance she traveled at specific times during her run. What is the slope of the line that represents Anne’s speed?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you can draw it here (or use latex to put it up, if you want).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh cool.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

okay, so the increase is arithmetic. Saying that you add a number each time. \(\large\color{ black }{\large {\bbox[5pt, lightgold ,border:2px solid white ]{ \large\text{ }\\ \begin{array}{|c|c|c|c|} \hline~~\textbf{minutes}~~~&~\bf{(distance)} \\ \hline \\5 &~\rm{0.625} \\ \text{ } \\ 10 &~\rm{1.25} \\ \text{ } \\ 15 &~\rm{1.875} \\ \text{ } \\ 20 &~\rm{2.5} \\ \\ \hline \end{array} }}}\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

(Adding 0.625 to obtain the next number every time) and you are asked to find the slope. The slope is the growth rate. Saying as x (in this case minute) increases, by how much is the distance (in miles) is increasing. So your answer is 0.625 meters per minutes.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

The slope though would be just 0.625. (the slope doesn't have any label next to it) you can say slope=0.625 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I get it now! Thank you so much!
