What would be the patter and next three fractons in this pattern: 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

5/16. I used a decimal place to solve this. If you put 1/16 and 1/8 into decimals, it shows a .0625 difference that gets bigger each time. 1/4=.250. .250+.0625=.3125=5/16.

So how do i add that equation for the next three?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

For the next 3 fractions in the pattern?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/math/decimal-to-fraction-calculator.php You left off with .3125, keep adding .0625 each time and use the above link to convert it.

Thank you very much!!

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

So for example the next one would be .3125+.0625=.375. That is 3/8.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

All clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes thank you

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

No problem.
